About The
Tour:
A 12 days/ 11 nights mountain bike tour including 10 days of
unlimited fun &
challenge on
bikes crossing World’s top two highest mountain passes. The bike
safari involves crossing over high
mountain passes
providing spectacular views of snow capped peaks, rugged terrain
and traveling through
one of the most
spectacular & picturesque landscapes in The World. Every year sees
more and
more cyclists
attempting this high altitude cycle ride which must rate as one of
the most spectacular in
the World. The
478 kms journey through desolate and remote country involves
climbing five major
passes up to a
height of 5600 m (18,414 ft), so both you and your bike must be in
good condition.
The route is
slightly easier from north to south, but most cyclists find the
objective of going to Leh more
appealing and
this direction is far better for acclimatization. The right
machine for the journey is really a
question of
preference. Mountain bikes fitted with 26 x 1.5 tires which will
have you speeding along on
the paved
sections (about 50% of the road is sealed). Come prepared for
every possible weather
imaginable from
scorching sunshine to freezing blizzards, even in mid-summers. You
also have an
option to visit
around monasteries in Ladakh which is a rich cultural experience.

would be provided in Moving camp. In a moving camp we provide
accommodation in alpine tents (trekking tents) and carry all
camping equipment & camping staff & ration etc in a support
vehicle

Payment & reservation terms:
You can make reservations with us by advising us your acceptance
of the tour and travel dates alongwith 25% of total tour amount as
booking amount. Incase travel dates lie within two weeks of period
we would require full payments in advance to initiate
reservations. We would immediately proceed to
make tentative bookings. All services would be kept on confirmed
basis on receipt of full advance payments only.
You can make payments by depositing cash/ cheque in our ICICI
account (Account Name: Himalayan Saga, No:
(635305000205). Once the bank intimates us about money being
credited into our account we would
immediately confirm all you travel arrangements and forward you
travel documents/ service vouchers against
which you would be provided rooms at hotel.
Cancellation & operational policy:
Cancellation of minimum 25% would be charged of full amount on
booking once made. Cancellation charges of 50% of total amount
would apply for period less than two weeks and no refund if
cancellation received one week prior to travel dates. If any part
of package is not availed, refunds cannot be
claimed for and neither is any part of package exchangeable with
some other services. Incase extension of a
tour is required, supplement as applicable would be paid directly
to us by the clients.
