MANALI LEH JEEP SAFARI WITH PANGONG LAKE & NUBRA VALLEY

Journey across World’s highest motorable mountain passes into the inner Himalayan regions

About The Tour: A 9 days/ 8 nights classical jeep safari over the highest motor able roads in the World and involves crossing over high mountain passes providing spectacular views of snow capped peaks, rugged terrain and old monasteries. This tour would drive you through one of the most spectacular & picturesque landscapes in The World. The tour takes you to the best of places, terrain, culture, monasteries, lakes available in Western Trans Himalayas

Highest Altitude gained: Kahardung La 5600 m

Places covered: Rohtang Pass, Keylong, Jispa, Baralacha La, Sarchu, Naki La, Lachung La, Rupshu Valley, Leh, Hemis, Shey, Thiksey, Stok, Lamayuru, Alchi, Likir, Basgo, Pangong Lake, Nubra Valley and most important Khadung La – the highest motorable pass in the entire World.

Operational period: 1^st June to 15^th September

Detailed programme:-

Manali/ Keylong/ Sarchu/ Leh/ Alchi/ Lamayuru/ Pangong/ Nubra Valley/ Delhi 

Day 01: Manali/ Sarchu (222 kms/ 10 hrs)

Travel from Manali to Keylong enroute crossing over Rohtang Pass (3980 m) and a few villages in Lahaul valley like Sissu, Gondla and confluence of Chandra & Bhaga rivers at Tandi. This route would provide you views of mountains, several streams/ waterfalls and hanging glaciers. After a short stop at Keylong continue drive to Srachu enroute visiting Jispa and crossing over Baralacha La 4800 m. Baralacha La has a small lake – Surajtal which is considered to be source of river Bhaga. On arrival check in the deluxe camp accommodation. Evening walk around the beautiful & huge campsite of Sarchu. Overnight in camp.

Day 02: Sarchu/ Leh (250 kms/ 10 hrs)

Today is a very long day and we start very early. Travel by surface from Sarchu to Leh crossing over Lachang La (5065 m) and Tanglang La (5360 m). On arrival check-in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: In Leh

After breakfast drive for full day sight seeing of Shey Palace, Thiksey, Hemis monastery and Stok Palace Museum. Return to Leh in the evening to explore Leh market. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Leh/ Uleytokpo (70 kms/ 6 hrs)

After Breakfast drive to Uletokpo enroute visiting Basgo Palace, Liker and Alchi monasteries. Also walk around the village and drive to Uletokpo and check in at Uley Ethnic Resort. Overnight in camp.

Day 05: Uleytokpo/ Lamayuru/ Leh (170 kms/ 8 hrs)

After breakfast, checkout from the camp and drive to Lamayuru monastery. Lamayuru monastery is one of the oldest and spectacularly set founded in 10^th century. Afternoon drive back to Leh. On arrival check in and overnight at hotel.

Day 06: In Leh – excursion to Pangong Lake

After early breakfast depart for a full day excursion to Pangong Lake (14,500 ft), through Changla Pass 17,350 ft, third highest motorable road in the world. Arrive Pangong lake, which the World’s highest salt water Lake in the World and is part in India and part in China. Walk around the lake. Afternoon drive back to Leh. Overnight Hotel.

Day 07: Leh/ Deskit/ Hundur (120 kms/ 6 hrs)

Travel by surface to Deskit in Nubra valley over Khardong La pass 5600 m. above the sea level. Arrive Deskit and visit the monastery. Continue further to Hundur. On arrival check in at camp. Evening free to walk around the beautiful village of Hundur, visit the sand dunes where you can enjoy camp ride on Bacterian camels. Overnight in camp.

Day 08: Hundur/ Panamik/ Leh (180 kms/ 10 hrs)

After breakfast drive to visit hot spring at Panamik. Also visit Samstanling Gompa. Later drive back to Leh over Khardungla. On arrival check in and overnight at hotel.

Day 09: Depart Leh

Morning in time transfer to airport to board flight for Delhi. End of tour.

All of the above mentioned rates include the following services as:-

• Accommodation in mentioned or similar hotels on twin sharing basis (1 night Sarchu, 5 nights Leh, 1 night Alchi, 1 night Nubra Valley). Check in/ out time 12 noon

• All meals starting with dinner in Sarchu on day 01 to breakfast on day 09 in Leh (breakfast & dinenrs are hot/ lunches packed)

• All transportation & sight seeing by a non ac Qualis/ scorpio with services of a driver as per itinerary

• Innerline permit for Nubra valley & Pangong Lake

• All presently applicable taxes

All of the above rates do not include the following services as:-

Rail fare, air fare, any meals other than mentioned, portage, guides, entrance fees to places of visit, damages/ claims of any kind, expenses of personal nature like tips, drinks, laundry, telephone calls etc. or anything not mentioned in above price include column

Payment & reservation terms: You can make reservations with us by advising us your acceptance of the tour and travel dates. We would immediately proceed to make tentative bookings. All services would be kept on confirmed basis on receipt of full advance payments only. You can make advance payments by depositing cash/ cheque in our ICICI account (Account Name: Himalayan Saga, No: 635305000205). Once the bank intimates us about money being credited into our account we would immediately confirm all you travel arrangements and forward you travel documents/ service vouchers against which you would be provided rooms at hotel.

Cancellation & operational policy: Cancellation of minimum 25% would be charged of full amount on booking once made. Cancellation charges of 50% of total amount would apply for period less than two weeks and no refund if cancellation received one week prior to travel dates. If any part of package is not availed, refunds cannot be claimed for and neither is any part of package exchangeable with some other services. Incase extension of a tour is required, supplement as applicable would be paid directly to us by the clients.
